PEEPs: Parent Educational Engagement Partners
PEEPs are a new way for parents to gain FREE support for their child’s special educational issues. We attend IEP meeting with the Parent/Caregiver. We help parents/caregiver understand the process of and IEP meeting, acronyms, policies, testing, evaluations, explaining procedures and help them understand their child’s primary exceptionality and much more.
We are part of a parents Dream Team when they enter a school for a meeting. We support students and families for FREE and attend all school meeting either in-person or virtual for the student with the parent/Caregiver in Jacksonville.
PEEP’s are:
- Trained in Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Trained in Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA).
- Consultants
- Provide tools, ideas, information and Support to families/caretaker.
- Have lived experience
- Provide appropriate guidance
- Find the needs and strengths
- Behaviors and learning styles
