The Florida Orienteering Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of Orienteering in the Central Florida area. We are a member of the US Orienteering Federation (USOF) which provides support for orienteering in the US, and oversees the rules of the sport. Orienteering is a recreational and competitive sport which involves compass navigation and map reading to find checkpoints, using a route of your choice. We provide the maps, a compass if you don't own one, and even some friendly help getting started. Sneakers and light clothing, appropiate for hiking in the woods are recomended. Don't forget sunscreen, bug spray, and very important, water for every participant.

The USOF Little Troll Program is designed to give parents a method of teaching their children to orienteer. All children participating in the program must be accompanied by a parent while orienteering on a String-O or White course held as part of a USOF-member-club regular event.
