WEEK LONG CAMPS
GRADES:
SPRING CAMP: Open to students entering 1st grade through 6th (Capacity – 24)
SUMMER CAMP: Open to students entering 1st grade through 6th (Capacity – 24)
TIMES:
9am – 4pm
WEEKLY COST:
$225 for members, $250 for non-members.
Lunch and a snack included. A camp t-shirt is included in each weeklong camp session
SPRING CAMP 2018
Ruckus in the Rookery
March 26th – 30th
Walk, Waddle or swim to this feathery, fun-filled camp! Conduct feather and beak experiments, make bird feeders and spot native birds in our Florida Rookery as we become “bird brainiacs”.
SUMMER CAMP 2018
It’s a Zoo in Here
June 4th – 8th
Animals! Animals! Animals! Campers, be prepared to get up-close and personal with some of your favorite zoo residents! If you love animals as much as we do, then this camp is for you!
JR Zookeeper (Best of 2017)
June 11th – 15th
Being a Zookeeper is a dream job but is also very hard work! Try your hands at this interesting career by making animal enrichments, observing animal behaviors, and meeting actual zookeepers!
Stayin’ Alive
June 18th – 22nd
Explore all the ways to use the five senses as only the animal kingdom can! Learn how animals use their senses of sight, touch, hearing, small, and even taste to survive in this sense-ational camp.
Zoo-Rassic Park (Best of 2016)
June 25th – 29th
Ever wonder what a zoo full of dinosaurs would look like? Come check out some of our living dinosaurs and learn all about their ancient history!
Head of the Class
July 2nd – 6th
A wonderful world unfolds in this five-day investigation of the animal kingdom. Study a different type of animal each day, including mammals, birds and reptiles and learn about the wild places they live.
Rainforest Romp
July 9th – 13th
This week campers will journey into the rainforest without even leaving the zoo! From caimans and lemurs to toucans and marmosets, many animals like the jungle life. Adventurers will learn all about this unique habitat and the animals that call it home.
Where the Wild Things Live
July 16th – 20th
Come explore Florida’s rich habitats that team with intriguing and unusual creatures. From alligators to manatees, campers will investigate the animals the call the Sunshine State home. They will also learn how to make their backyard habitats a local wildlife sanctuary!
iDig Dinosaurs
July 23rd – 27th (Note: there is capacity of 36 for this week)
Learn all about our animals’ amazing ancestors! Campers will journey through time, discovering the exciting history of dinosaurs in this weeklong adventure. Campers will even get to participate in their very own dinosaur fossil dig! So grab your gear and prepare to unearth lots of fun!
Animal Outlaws
July 30th – August 3rd
We all know that mammals have hair, reptiles lay eggs and birds fly. Right? Well in the animal kingdom there are always exceptions to the rules. Join us to dive deep into the animal rule breakers and expose the true animal outlaws!
