Shining Star Summer Music Lab
Give your child a summer filled with confidence, creativity, and music-making fun.
The Shining Star Summer Music Lab is an exciting drop-off day camp for ages 6 - 15, designed by the experienced educators of Shining Star Music Academy. This unique program blends structured music learning with hands-on creativity so students stay engaged, build skills quickly, and have a blast making music together.
Camp Schedule
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Extended care: Available for busy families
Weekly sessions run throughout the summer, and families may enroll for one week or multiple weeks.

What Makes This Camp Special

Weekly Themes
Rock Star 101: Learn the riffs. Play in a band. Rock the stage! Dive into rock music, learn iconic parts, jam with others, and build confidence performing live. A high-energy week that makes music feel exciting! Experience not required, and small group setting allows for tailored instruction. Students can try instruments and explore options throughout the week, and will learn how to interact with a band setting as well.
Musical Passport: Explore the world one rhythm at a time! From global rhythms to traditional instruments, students will experience music from cultures around the world. It's hands-on, engaging, and a powerful way to build musicianship while sparking curiosity and creativity.
Lights, Camera, Music!: The music behind movies, shows, and games. Students will explore the soundtracks that bring stories to life; from animated favorites to epic game scores. They'll learn how music creates emotion, collaborate with others, and perform music inspired by the screen.
Composer's Adventure: Create music. Build Skills. Find your voice. Student's will step into the role of a composer, experimenting with original ideas while learning core musical foundations like ear training and music theory! A perfect blend of creativity and growth for curious young musicians.
