Spooktacular at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

New this year! Interested in going to the Zoo beforehand? Purchase a combo ticket that includes same-day access to the park, beginning at 3 pm and stay through the end of Spooktacular.
Tips for a Wicked Time:
- Enhanced this year! Visit the startling Scare Zones featuring 20 more scares than ever before, rated 13+.
- Scare Zones are located in the back of the Zoo and are clearly marked. For groups that have a mix of those that enjoy scares and those that don't, purchase a Scaredy Cat necklace so the monsters are less likely to engage with those wearing it.
- Go trick-or-treating at seven candy stations and three toy stations scattered throughout the park.
- Explore winding pathways featuring different themes such as Pumpkin Hollow, Fiesta Encantada, Witches of Trout River, Fall Festival and Phantom Forest.
- Get a lay of the land beforehand by reviewing the Spooktacular event map.
- Enjoy a frightening amount of music, entertainment and photo ops.
- Shop bewitching gifts and devour scary-good food and drinks.
- Get into the spooky spirit and dress in fun, family-friendly costumes.
- Animals will not be visible during this event, as they go to bed before dusk.

Scaredy Cat Necklace....................................................$4.65
Are you a Scaredy Cat? Purchase a Scaredy Cat Necklace so the monsters will pass you by and search for other victims in the Scare Zones. However, it does not guarantee a scare-free experience. Our monsters will do their best to avoid you, but they may not always see the necklace. If you are with a group of your fearless friends, let them enjoy the scare first and then re-join them. Pick up your necklaces at the entrance before heading inside the park.
Purchase Spooktacular tickets in advance and SAVE $5 a ticket. Tickets must be purchased online. The Zoo closes at 5:00 pm and will reopen at 5:30 pm. You may purchase a Zoo admission and Spooktacular combo ticket below. Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable. This event will go on rain or shine, safety permitting.
