The Northeast Florida Conservatory (NFC) is proud to bring the Disney Theatrical Productions smash, NEWSIES! as its 13th production!
Completely underwritten by Haskell and inspired by the real-life Newsboys strike in New York City in 1899, the Tony award-winning musical NEWSIES is based on a book by Harvey Fierstein with music by Alan Menkin and lyrics by Jack Feldman.
Originally a movie of the same name, NEWSIES won Tony Awards for Best Choreography and Best Original Score and nominated for 6 others including Best Musical.
This is the largest cast assembled to date with 35 performers and a live orchestra!
