Join us for an engaging and informative Zoom session designed just for women who sail, hosted by St. Augustine Sailing’s WOW! (Women on the Water) program. This women-led sailing instruction is created to empower and support female sailors at every experience level in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
In this session, Captain Lauren will lead a discussion focused on Navigation and Route Planning aboard a sailing vessel. She’ll break down key concepts including reading charts, understanding aids to navigation, plotting courses, interpreting weather patterns, and using both traditional and electronic tools for safe and efficient sailing. Whether you're planning a short day sail or preparing for a multi-day passage, understanding how to chart your course is an essential skill for every sailor.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their own experiences, and learn from an experienced captain who understands the unique perspectives of women on the water. This session is perfect for those looking to build confidence in navigation or take a more active role in passage planning.
