Jacksonville Humane Society High School Service Day
High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to join us on Saturday, May 17, for a day of learning and service at the Jacksonville Humane Society! Participants will learn about how the adoption process works at JHS as well as strategies and tools we use digitally and in-person to help the pets in the shelter find homes. We’ll complete a variety of projects designed to help promote our pets for adoption both online and in the shelter, with a special focus on some of our long-stay dogs and cats.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
In addition to completing a variety of service projects, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a JHS dog and JHS kittens or cats.
A Papa John’s pizza lunch will be provided to all participants.
All participants will be awarded 4 community service hours at the end of the day.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
