Ceramic Lantern Making at the Cummer Museum

Inspired by the exhibition Anila Quayyum Agha: Flight Patterns, participants will create ceramic lanterns like a professional potter. While learning about the history of ceramics, types of clay, sculptural techniques, and kilns, firing, and glazing, you will also explore folk tales from Middle Eastern cultures to inspire their ceramic lantern. For ages 6 to 12 years old.
