It costs nothing to straighten a messy room.
It costs nothing to cut the bread in triangles.
It costs nothing to play the alphabet sign game in the car.
It costs nothing to put music on during dinner.
It costs nothing to tell the speaker which of her insights you most appreciated.
It costs nothing to pick up the trash someone dropped on your neighbor's lawn.
It costs nothing to point out how cool it is that he just helped his brother.

It costs nothing to tell your kids how these kinds of actions cost nothing but add so much. Five seconds of focus, a tiny bit of effort, and, whammo, look at the value you've just added to the world.
