Join us for our Summer 7s Rugby League! All boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14 can participate in this non-contact version of Rugby. Learn all about the unique skills of the game while staying active and making new friends!

Summer 7s
This 7 a side non-contact version of the traditional 15 a side game will keep the kids fit and active while introducing them to aspects of the game that are unique to Rugby!
- Learn how to set up a scrum - Kids will learn how to properly bind together in the scrum and what each person's role is during the scrum. However, scrums will be uncontested which means there is no pushing. We're focusing on the proper technique.
- Learn how to set up a line-out - Kids will also learn how to properly throw a line-out, which players participate in the line-out and what their roles are. Lifting is not allowed until High School Rugby so they will need to practice jumping as high as they can to win the ball.
- Other Skills - We're also focusing on other skills such as kicking, looking for space, and how to look really cool when they score that winning try!
The program will run from May 17th to June 17h. In-person sign up will be at Greenland Park (11808 Fayal Dr; Jacksonville, FL 32258) on May 17th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. You can also sign up on our website; JaxYouthRugby.org.
Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
All your child will need is a pair of cleats!
