Toncas's 56th Birthday Bash! - MOSH

Tonca, our adored alligator snapping turtle, is turning 56 years young on Saturday, July 9! Each year for his birthday celebration, Tonca ventures out from his home in the Hixon Native Plant Courtyard for his annual weigh-in and checkup. Join us at MOSH for a fun-filled party with Tonca and friends! Let’s shell-ebrate!

VIT (Very Important Tonca) Experience

MOSH Members receive a 10% discount on tickets to the VIT Experience
Each purchase of the VIT Experience goes to directly support the care and enrichment of Tonca and his friends. Guests will participate in a private animal encounter with Tonca during his annual weigh-in and checkup. Check-in for the VIT Experience is at 12:45 p.m. in the JEA Science Theater. The VIT Experience party package includes:
- General Admission to the Museum
- Complimentary Seating in the JEA Theater for the Annual Weigh-in & Checkup at 1 p.m.
- Party Hats to Wish Tonca a Happy Birthday
- A Special Animal Show with Tonca’s Friends
- A Chance to Win MOSH Swag
