Over the course of this 2 week-long camp, students transform into a virtual cast and crew to make a short movie based on a Newbery Medal-winning book. You will learn how to run cameras, set up lights, operate audio equipment, direct, and edit. Oh, and did we mention you’ll be the writers and stars of the movie, too? We’ll have a virtual red carpet premiere for friends and family once the movie is finished, and it will be submitted to the national 90-Second Newbery Film Festival with screenings across the country, including in Rochester! Find out more about the film fest at 90secondnewbery.com. This virtual camp requires access to video recording equipment. DSLRS and camcorders are not necessary, a cell phone with the ability to share video footage will suffice.
