Event dates and themes are listed below:
June 22 – Friday Night Fever
This 70s themed party will encourage you to break out the bell-bottoms and get down to live music from the Boogie Freaks. We’ll also have a DJ on the Great Lawn, a groovy costume party, and entertainment from Miss Marie’s Kids.
Note: Land of the Tiger will be closing at 8 pm.
July 13 – ZOOperstition
This Friday the 13th, join us for an unnerving night full of superstitions. Kim Reteguiz & the Black Cat Bones will be here for some live music, and our keepers will be out to dispel common myths about a few of our more misunderstood animals. We’ll also have games and a DJ on the Great Lawn to liven up this dreaded evening.
July 27 – The Great Catsby
Welcome to the Jazz Age, old sport. This Roaring Twenties themed party will include live music from Tasty Tuesday, a DJ on the Great Lawn, and a costume contest that is sure to be the cat’s meow. Bring your friends and family and enjoy this trip back to the past.
August 10 – Zoo Odyssey: 3000
The future is here at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! While we won’t have flying cars or visitors from Mars, we will have two DJs with interactive projections and trivia, LED performers, and our keepers will be out to talk about some of our new babies! It’s a futuristic night you won’t want to miss.
