Summer is here (yay!!) and that means it's time for FARMcamp! We usually have a nice mixed-aged group of children attend our camps from ages 4 on up to 13 or so, including a good mix of new and returning FARMfriends.

Some activities your child may experience/participate in as a "Farmer for a Day" include:
~feeding the animals (goats, chickens, mini horse, quail, fish)
~milking the goats
~animal health checks
~grooming the animals
~braiding horse hair (older children only)
~gathering eggs
~learning to making cheese
~seasonal crafts
~harvesting fruits and veggies from the garden
~making seasonal foods (from harvested food!)
~many fun games (some old-school, some farm originals)
~lots of water play
~building projects
~one year we even did a play of the 3 Billy Goats Gruff! lol
We never REALLY know how the day is going to unfold, but we always have a good time!

Florida summers can be brutal so we make sure to have a lot of water options for cooling off and watermelon (a farm favorite)! We have a 2ft deep, 8ft diameter stock tank for the children to swim in which is kept clean using Hydrogen Peroxide and a filter (ran during off hours of camp). We get out the sprinkler and lots of other water toys as well, to keep us cool.

COSTS: (by the week)
Full days run 9am-3pm
Half days run 9am-12pm
5 Full Day: $225/child $190/sibling
5 Half day: $100/child $90/sibling
4 Full Day: $200/child $170/sibling
4 Half Day: $90/child $80/sibling
3 Full Day $175/child $150/sibling
3 Half Day $75/child $65/sibling
2 Full Day: $120/child $100/sibling
2 Half Day: $60/child $50/sibling
1 Full day: $60/child $50/sibling
1 Half day: $30/child $25/sibling
Early drop-off or aftercare is available if pre-arranged at $5/half hour. Be sure to let me know ahead of time if you are in need of this option.

***COVID statement. We are really hoping to be able to enjoy a COVID free summer with the kids, however, certain things we have enjoyed in years past may not be available, depending on the current viral load at the time this event is held. We MAY not be able to offer the stock tank with our water play. Also, we MAY not be able to seek shelter in our home during thunderstorms. If this is the case, we will have to end our day early or cancel all together on those days. I do have a high risk child in my home, so I thank you all for your understanding as far as this goes. Any COVID precautions taken will depend on the viral load at the time and are subject to change.
