3rd Annual Power the Flower 5K

Join us on April 28th at 7:30am at Neptune Beach Elementary to run for Rett Syndrome. All proceeds benefit Girl Power 2 Cure and Rett University, (501c3 local non-profit organizations) that raise awareness of Rett Syndrome and promote literacy and communication for those with complex communication needs.
PtF5k participants will enjoy running a safe scenic course in Neptune Beach with large shade trees. All 5k runners will receive a custom tech shirt (register by April 21st), custom finisher medal, and other goodies.
Power Pups!
Your 4-legged friends are welcome to join in the fun and will receive a custom dog treat.
Grow Where You’re Planted
We started Power the Flower 5k a couple of years after our daughter Evie was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that affects her ability to walk, speak, and use her hands. Despite her physical limitations, Evie and other girls with Rett Syndrome, are believed to function mentally at a much higher level than previously thought. Evie is just one of several girls living in NE Florida who fights the effects of Rett Syndrome every day. Research has already proven that Rett is reversible in mice. A CURE is possible!
Presume Competence
All proceeds from PtF5k will help bring Rett U Live! to Northeast Florida in September 2018. Rett U is committed to empowering parents, educators, and therapists with knowledge and strategies to help Rett Syndrome students and other individuals with complex communication needs reach their highest potential. Imagine being given the opportunity to prove what you CAN do when the tools and techniques are accessible.

$30 until March 20th
$35 until April 24th
$40 April 25th through race day.
Fun Run:
$10 until March 20th
$15 March 21st through April 24th
$20 April 25th through race day.
Virtual 5k:
$35 - custom bid and medal
Must register by April 20th.
Packet will be mailed within 10 days of race day (April 28th).

· Special award to be given to the top overall male and female and top overall masters male and female.
· Age group awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each of the following male and female age groups, based on gun time.
· 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over.
